Will Never be forgotten / Nadia Harrigan (Friend)
God is a Good God and he for sure wanted some steelpan music in heaven along with best musicians in the world that have passed away. Reggie, you will never be forgotten, you took time and weekends to teach young people at the St. Williams Catholic Church. You will surely be missed especially that wonderful smile of yours. May God protech those who you left behind and I know that you will live on through you son.
Randy,
Stay strong sweetheart and may God continue to bless you and your family and confort you in these sad time.
Farewell/ Will Georges (uncle)
Farewell, my nephew, Godson, and brother Cursillista, You were special; tremendously talented, yet tortured, full of fun and energy, but sometimes sad and moody, gregarious with strong love of friends and family, yet at the same time withdrawn and aloof. Life was not always easy for you, my friend. But then, no one ever said it would be so. Nevertheless you shared yourself and your talents with anyone who would receive them. You really cared. You made us all proud to be in your family.
You answered the call to join us in Cursillo. You were one of only twelve men who answered that call. You answered my call to serve on the music team for Weekend #5. But you were called to serve on another music team, the great one above. So we are left with the memories, until we too, like you, are called.
Walking home after school! / Stephen Leon (Friend)
My fondest memory of my friend is when we attended the St James Secondary School and walked home to Cascade on several occasions together. Many times we would buy snow cone and ex-tempo all the way from Panka Street to Strathclyde Avenue. Reggie was so talented in music...I always tried to keep up but never could. He even made my appreciation for music grow as I was always in awe of his compositions. Every time he visited Trinidad we would always get together and talk about the good old school days. We had so much fun together and we never fell out. I do not have one bad memory of my friend. I offer my heart felt condolences to Mr & Mrs Georges, Rowan, Randall and ofcourse Reggie's son who I never met. Close

Reggie was a facilitator... / Helene Anne Lewis (Friend of the family )
...whose friendship and support to the St William's Catholic Youth inhelping them establish a steel band was invaluable and selfless. I so admired his committment to that project nearly ten years ago. Thank tyou Reggie on behalf of the Catholic Community of the BVI. We pray that you will find rest in Him whose angels must have sung in joyful chorus at your homecoming.
We pray too for your family and loved ones that all may find peace and comfort in the support of all your friends and admirers. Close

My darling Reggie How can I forget babysitting you and watching you grow into a fine young man? I enjoyed your company whenever I saw you and I enjoyed your wonderful music which I always told you was a gift from God. I will miss you dearly, but your memories are in my heart and the CDs which I now cherish. I am especially thankful that you were able to play at my wedding. I will always cherish that memory. I always worried about your illness and always prayed for you. I firmly believe that God decided to relieve you of your pain and that you are now in a better place where you are pain free and where you canplay your music to your heart's content. I am sure, too, that Mom was happy to see you!
I cannot express how saddened I was to hear about Reggie. My mother and I extend our love and prayers to you Celia, Michael, Rowan and Randy. As we give God thanks for Reggie’s life, we pray that the Lord will give you the grace and strength to go through this time of mourning.
To Mike and Celia Georges family – Accept our heartfelt condolences.
Reggie – Only talented musicians can do what you did and enjoyed – a one man band, and making sweet music out of it!!! You were one of them. Rest in Perfect Peace.

I Remember... / Sandra Walters Malone (Friend/First Supervisor )
When I think of Reggie, my mind goes back to a fresh-faced, eager young man in gold-framed spectacles who bounced into the ZBVI Newsroom and astounded us with a voice that belied his years. Reggie was bright and quickly mastered the on-air board; that ,added that to a beautiful voice and his clear diction meant that he was soon reading major newscasts. Reggie was funny -- when he was in a really good mood I became Auntie Sandra and Faith (the Assistant News Editor) became Auntie Faith; sometimes, especially when we would get in his business about the girls calling for him, we even became Mummy! However, when he was upset, he would address us very formally in very clipped, proper tones. The three of us talked a lot -- in those days Reggie had an opinion on everything and was very well-informed for an 18 year old! Discussion would range from girls (of course!) to religion, to politics. Sometimes he would sing for us and then blush when we oohed and aahed. One afternoon when he returned from lunch he brought in a song that he had written so we could hear it and we were flattered that he chose to share something so special with us, and very impressed by his talent. In later years he became very quiet, but his passion remained evident when he played. People always commented on his talent and his professionalism. I was very moved when he 'made Cursillo' last year and reassured that he was seeking a deeper relationship with God. I am sorry that Reggie won't be here to share his talents with his son, but I hope that those of us who knew Reggie will share our memories. De Colores! Close

On behalf of Julie, Marc, Tisha and their families I extend our deepest condolences to you Mike and Celia, to you Rowan and Randy and your new families. I remember Reggie when he was still the tallest of the three boys. He had the fiery Fullerton face but the reticence, then, of the Georges. He must in more recent years have become something of a performer and through his God-given talent he has been able to leave, for the benefit of all who knew him, a legacy of creative pieces and special memories crafted even as he wrestled with his own chemistry. Thank God for sharing Reggie with us for the time we did have him. The Master never makes mistakes. He's done what he came to do. He's gone for his higher calling. We'll always love you Reggie. Sorry I never told you... / Randall Georges (Brother)
Hey Bro,
I can't believe this is actually real! When I saw your face in the morgue in Philadelphia, it was the most devastating moment in my life. However, I must say, you looked like you were at peace with the Lord. Like everyone has been telling me, I know you're in a better place. A place with no more sorrow, sickness, sadness, depression, shame and pain.
The only thing is, it'll take time to get over the fact that I'll never be able look you in the eyes again, I'll never be able to hear your voice again, your laughter, nor see you smile. My biggest regret is that I never got the chance to tell you how much I loved you and how much you meant to me. I would just like to take this opportunity to do so: I LOVE YOU BRO! You were my idol in so many ways and I'll never forget you.
Reggie was the one that got me started in Karate, today I am a 2nd degree black belt because of him. Reggie was the first one to teach me how to drive. Reggie was the first one to give me a car! That's right, GIVE! It was a 1989 Toyota Corolla. That's how he was, he had a heart of gold. Reggie was always in the background looking out for me.
I remember back in the early 90's when the Chicago Bulls used to run t'ings! We would all sit around the TV and watch the NBA playoffs. I remember how Reggie would go against the Bulls and we would have a great time going back and forth about who was going to win. There are so many more memories like this one that I could share, but there would not be enough room. I'm just glad that I have the good memories to hold on to, so you'll always live on.
Reggie, you'll always have a special place in my heart and I'll never forget you! I look forward to the day when I can see you again in Heaven and listen to you sing and play!

My brother and my friend will always be remembered!! / Monique Georges (Sister-in-law) My brother and my friend will always be remembered!! Over the years Reggie and I had spent a lot of time together, talking, watching Jerry Springer and just listening to him play music in his comfortable studio at home. We shared times together that I will miss but never forget. He touched my heart and he taught me things about life that I carry with me today. I know that my brother is resting in PEACE and knowing that I can have peace. Reggie to me was a LEGEND. He accomplished things in his life time that others could only dream of doing. He touched the lives of so many people in so many ways. Reggie was that person you knew without a shadow of doubt would give you his last of anything. He was never judgmental and never selfish, although he would eat your food if you left it unattended.
During the process of Randy and I getting marrired, I made very few request but one request that I did make was that Reggie would play his steel drums at the wedding reception. Without hesitation, Reggie packed up his heavy pans and brought them all the way to Missouri just for the two of us. He sang a song for Randy and me that will ring in my head forever.
Reggie, you haven't the slightest idea of what you meant to me. I only knew you for a short 4 years but it felt like we had been family for a lifetime, I just want you to know that I have loved you from day one and will always. The small things in life never bothered you. Thinking about you just brings a smile to my face. I am fortunate for the times we did spend together and I will forever hold on to them. Rest In Peace an d God will do the rest.
