Prayers for continued comfort.  / Odesma (Desi) Dalrymple (Daughter of Angela Brathwaite (Reggie's godmother) )

These condolences are written on behalf of my mother who at the time of Reggie's passing was preparing to undergo major surgery. It was her intention to make an entry on the site when she recuperated, but unfortunately she too passed later that year.

My last recollection of Reggie was sometime in the early 1980's when he and his family were still living in Trinidad. After the family migrated to the BVI, contact diminished, and unfortunately both my mother and I did not have the privilege to personally get to know Reggie as an adult, "a wonderfully talented young man and a caring and generous human being."

This online forum has helped to immortalize Reggie. The vivid memories shared by those that were close to Reggie, allows me and many others to still connect with him, and for that I am very appreciative.

Having recently lost my mother, I can certainly identify with the many emotions that those whose lives were personally touched by Reggie have experienced and still continue to experience. I pray that we are all able to continue to find comfort.

It seem that it was just yesterday that I took you buy a suit for Tyrique's graduation.......then to radio shack to get blank tapes for the camcorder to tape the ceremony..... then we were off to shop rite to get you some orange juice....... Its funny how I remember every single detail of that last time I saw you....Its been a whole year since you passed but your memories still live on. You will always remain in our heart no matter what.... For the last two days we kept reminiscing what it was like last year when you were here and what we would give to relive those moments with you......You would be amazed by the resemblance between you and tyrique, the older he gets the more he looks like you....If nothing more i hope he grow up to be just like, kind humble, reserve, talented and love by everyone he come into contact with...we miss you Close

Reggie:

You were and will always be my biggest inspiration! You taught me so much in life! I remember growing up in Trinidad following your every move, being just a few steps behind you, being your shadow, backing you up, wishing I could be like you or that we were twins! I never forgot those days, we were inseparable! I remember you always coming to my defense, always being there for advice, always taking time out to teach me things from how to wrap a steel-pan stick to how to use a T-square and triangle.  

I will always be indebted to you for making me the person I am today. I can truly say that I am proud to be called your little brother! (Just like back in those days growing up). You have undoubtedly touched the lives of many and your legacy will never die.

I thank you for being the best big-brother. I thank you for showing me the meaning of kindness and generosity. I thank you for never giving up, for showing me that we only have one life and that we are called to make the most of it! I thank you most of all for being Reggie! You were truly ahead of your time. 

This has been the most difficult time in my life; trying to come to terms with never being able to tell how much I love you and how much I cherish our many memories. So I hold on to those memories and the comfort in knowing that you're in a place where there is no more suffering, in a place where you're finally free! 

My words truly cannot express how I feel about you, but know that I would never forget the impact that you have had on my life. Jazmin and I will always treasure your memory as it is everlasting! What we do here on earth is truly not for our own benefit or gain, but it is rather to bless and to enrich others. So well done Reggie, you have accomplished your task and you have finished the race! Eternal rest is well deserved!

My Musical Big Brother  / Gath Hewlett (Fellow musician )

I am glad finally to get this opportunity to publicly thank Reggie for giving me my head start in playing publicly and pursuing my musical dream. Reggie encouraged me and coached me on what equipment to purchase and how to use them to program music. If it weren't for my musical big brother, I would never have been able to play out at venues like Peter Island or Quito's. This is all thanks to Reggie. I will continue to develop my music as a tribute to him. i know that he will be smiling down on me when I am able to finally play some composition in his honour. I love you, Reggie.....like a brother. Thanks

I remember meeting Reggie when i moved to Tortola in 1989.  I meet his family and him a get together. I remember the days in hight school and out of school. even those trips to the beach etc..  I remember the close relationship he had with is brothers and his parents. I was here in Florida when i heard the sad news. I was so sadden by the news, i still cannot believe it.  I am still in shock.  My mom was at the funeral.   I haven't seen reggie in a few years but that is person that you will always remember. A really nice guy and great musician. You will missed. I give my condolences to the family.

Dear Celia & Michael,

We didnot know Reggie except for what Aunt Norma Penn (Osborne) told us.(Around the time he arrived we left for England) Aunt Norma was always singing Reggie's praises and it was alway melodious! However, on a recent visit to Trinidad we caught up with an in-law of yours, also one of Verna's old friends, Ethel, whom every one calls 'Mikey' on July 5, the same day Reggie passed. Mikey spent some considerable time talking about the Georges family in BVI and of course the names of Celia and Michael and son Reggie came up and all the good things you are all doing here. Little did we know that Reggie was visiting us  in thought as he perhaps breathed his last. I sent word about his passing to Mikey and I'm sure she now knows.

We can only accept this as the will of God and thank Him for having lent Reggie to us all.

Please know that we are all praying for you at this difficult time of loss.
